Why Presenters Lack Self-Awareness [Infographic]

Between making the kids breakfast, sending them off to school, then battling the commute to work and addressing your work tasks all day, it’s difficult to dedicate time to engage in self-awareness moments. But, the reality is that obtaining a modicum of self-awareness is crucial to growing as a person. In fact, in a 2015 article, the Harvard Business Review listed 5 ways individuals could become more self-aware. One of the items included on that list urged readers to “take psychometric tests.” For general self-awareness evaluation, tests like the Myers-Briggs and Predictive Index come to mind. However, a self-awareness test for presenters has recently hit the market, courtesy of the team at Ethos3! And its main goal is to help presenters discover their presentation persona so that they can leverage their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses when they are on-stage. Below, we’ve compiled an infographic that illustrates just how important self-awareness is to presenters and why most don’t have it:
