Fun: The Inevitable Hook Result

Over the last decade or so, Nashville, Tennessee has become much more than Music City (although it remains among the most influential music locales in the world). It’s even become more than an iconic example of Southern culture. Today, Nashville is a true city, with layer upon cultural layer to be explored, appreciated, and revisited. While the purpose of the conference is equipping presenters with the skills to change the world, we also have the simple aspiration of burning this town up. Here’s how:

Nashville Predators: When the boys first came to town, it was a novelty seeing all that ice in Tennessee. People flocked from miles around to see for themselves what an ice skate was.

Now, it’s a crazed madhouse–especially in section 303 (the loudest section in the loudest arena in the NHL). Not only do these Southern hooligans know the meaning of the word, “deke”, but they know how to snag a wayward puck out of the air with bare teeth. You don’t have to be a Predators fan to have fun here, and even you Dallas Stars will be welcome with the Hook crowd. With so much on stage talent in Music City for the game, the challenge is simple: let’s see who has a bigger influence on the game, Section 303 or Section Hook.

B.B. Kings: The expected is expected. Say the words, “presentation conference” and most people are immediately transported to a dark and dreary hotel conference hall. Some collapse in a fit of narcolepsy.

But these people aren’t familiar with the real talent coming to Hook. No one–not the keynote speakers, not the presenters, not the attendees–is conventional here. That’s the whole point: get a group of the best together to feed off each other’s innovation and drive. Then, go home and conquer.

B.B. Kings is the perfect venue for this reason. It’s the opposite of boring, with legendary music, matchless acoustics, and an ambiance that makes sweet shades materialize on your mug out of thin air. Bring all your cool lest you feel out of place when the doors open.

The Honeymoon Killers: The average house band has a cheesy crooner that spends half the night trolling the crowd for free drinks. So we ditched the house band concept and went with a real band. They may not play ’79 prom songs on request, but their sights are more in line with Hook’s: blow away everyone in their path. This isn’t your average house band because it isn’t your average conference.

The first rule of Hook: The Presentation Conference is this: Be there. Follow the rules. Sign up today!
